A voter with a missing or mismatched signature can cure their signature in several ways. The signature curing process may vary by county because existing law requires local election officials to establish their signature cure procedures.

It is important to note the signature cure process is separate from voter registration and the tabulation of ballots. How a ballot is marked is not part of the signature curing process and providers do not retain or store any information during the signature curing process.
